As you’ve no doubt heard, the Spring Training rental home of Tampa Bay Rays Evan Longoria, David Price and Reid Brignac was robbed Saturday while the Rays were battling the Baltimore Orioles. Here is a hilarious video about the real culprit behind the thefts. Hint: think about a New York baseball team that needs to raise cash quick!

Among the $56,000 in items stolen from the trio included jewelry, cash, computer equipment, electronics and Longoria’s AK-47! Boys will be boys. The Rays All-Star third baseman stated that the AK-47 was a “personal item.” I know there are lots of critters in Port Charlotte, but that may be a little extreme.

Poor Evan is having a bad month. It’s the second time this month he’s been the victim of a theft. His 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, valued at $75,000, was stolen from the lot of an auto restoration shop in Chandler, Ariz., over the weekend of March 5-6. The car has not been located. Perhaps, those thieves may be reconsidering their actions knowing the firepower Longoria is capable of packing.
