Joe Mauer is a true homer. In this just released advertisement “Explore Minnesota” commercial promoting tourism in the state, Mauer appears at the 0:40 mark to sing his tribute to the North Star State. (I recommend you skip to his part, because the rest of the ad is just painfully folky.) Mauer was unaware he would have to sing until he arrived at Target Field for the shoot. So does Joe have a future in the music biz? (And, yes, that is a rhetorical question.)
